New GEORG precisioncut TBA400 robotline starts operation at Hitachi Energy Turkey
Hitachi Energy now takes advantage of the largest type of the GEORG robotlines. The line cuts and stacks laminations with up to 2000 mm centre length automatically to transformer cores.
The large size allows the automatic production of larger cores, for example for dry-type transformers. Like the other GEORG robotlines, it can also stack cores with asymmetric yokes.
The robotline is equipped with highly efficient drives contributing to the sustainable development goal of Hitachi Energy to reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions with eco-efficient processes.
The gentle robotic stacking of the laminations leads to reduced losses in operation of the transformer, compared to manually stacked cores.
In its plant in Dilovasi, south of Istanbul, Hitachi Energy produces transformer cores for Hitachi Energy distribution and power transformer plants in Europe with various Step Lap Lamination Cutting Lines.
With this GEORG precisioncut TBA400 robotline the plant now operates 2 slitting and 6 cut-to-length lines from GEORG.
