Internship report Jakob Niederhofer Teil 1
Introduction
My name is Jakob, I am 20 years old and I am currently completing my six-month internship at a GEORG subsidiary in Roanoke/USA. I was born near Koblenz. After graduating from high school, I moved to Reutlingen near Stuttgart to complete my engineering degree (International Project Engineering). This study program has an international focus. Now it's time to put what I've learned in theory to the test.
Over the next few weeks, I will take you with me on my internship and answer a few interesting questions for you.
Why are you interested in doing an internship in the USA?
The USA was particularly appealing to me because, on the one hand, I had never been there before and, on the other, I wanted to take the opportunity to improve my English there and benefit from it, especially in my studies.
We are celebrating 14 jubilees this year
425 years of GEORG. This year, 14 employees are celebrating their service anniversary at our company. Among them are nine colleagues with 25 years of service and five colleagues with 40 years of service. Thank you for your commitment and loyalty!

Victor has been with us as an industrial mechanic since he started his training on August 1st, 2016. He comes from Guatemala, feels very comfortable with us and has meanwhile developed into a good fitter who has already been on his first field assembly assignments. Victor: we are very happy to have you in our team.
