Internship at GEORG

Last week, Annika Becker had the opportunity to get to know the processes at GEORG better during her three-week internship and to provide on-site support at one of our most important HR trainee fairs.
But hear for yourself what she has to say about her time.
My name is Annika Becker and I completed my 3-week internship at Georg.
In the first two weeks, I was able to immerse myself in the world of technical product design. I learned how to create 3D drawings with individual components and assemblies and how to develop plans. I was given a tour of the company in order to better understand the interrelationships between the individual departments and production, which enabled me to better organize my tasks.
In the third and final week, I was able to get to know the HR department and experience the job of an industrial clerk. In addition to everyday administrative office tasks (filing documents in the document management system, distributing mail, etc.)

One of the highlights of my internship was definitely the visit to the training fair in Siegen, where we took part as exhibitors.It was interesting to be able to take on the perspective of an exhibitor, even though some of the visitors to the fair were my age. The pupils were able to find out about the companies in the region, take advantage of careers advice and get to know the variety of career opportunities.
I really enjoyed the fair and it was a great experience.
Overall, it was the right decision to do my internship at GEORG. It has been confirmed that the profession of technical product designer suits me and my skills very well.
