(Kreuztal). It is not the first time that the Buschhüttener family business GEORG for its family friendliness. But this times the award comes very surprisingly and from an unusual source. The Women's magazine "Freundin", together with the largest employer Rating platform kununu a ranking of the most family-friendly companies Germany. More than 2,000,000 employer evaluations are available for the study. 175,000 German companies. The result can therefore be regarded as a large award for the domestic plant manufacturer. Because GEORG was named the best family-friendly company in the field of mechanical engineering in Germany. "This is of course a great pleasure, that our activities for a family-oriented company policy are valued. Above all also because we have a very high level of employee performance capability and willingness. We are particularly pleased that there are employees who have made the recommendation for us completely anonymously", explains personnel manager Thomas Kleb.
Family friendliness at least as important as salary.
The evaluation criteria were the feel-good factor and the career factor in the company. In the feel-good factor, the behaviour of superiors, dealing with older employees colleagues and the work-life balance of employees and former employees is evaluated. In the career area, the opportunities offered by the equality as well as the factors further training, salary, social security benefits and family-friendly benefits. But also aspects such as flexible working hours, home office opportunities, childcare and company pension provisions were due for valuation. As a result, it can be stated that GEORG has done its homework successfully in recent years. The compatibility of career and family is a central component of social debate. The Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, women and youth has found that for 92 percent of employees with children the reconciliation of work and family life is at least as important as salary. Even for employees without children, this is still 65 percent.
