Next Job completed: High-Performance Slitting Line made by GEORG.

Elval, one of the world leading producers of flat rolled aluminum, has been investing in the expansion of its production capacities for high quality aluminum flat products since 2018.
GEORG has been a partner of Elval for years and has already realized several grinding machines as well as retrofits in the recent past.
Now we can proudly announce the completion of the new GEORG precisionslit 2600 AL at Elval facility in Greece.
 
The high-performance slitting line handling aluminum strips with thickness from 0,18 mm up to 4,0 mm and maximum speed of 1.000 m/min (Rewinding Mode) was designed for highest production quality and material output.

The changing shear system together with automatic separation and belt wrapper enables Elval to produce several products for a high number of customers with several productive modes.
 
Together with the high automation, the new GEORG line will support Elval in the ongoing productivity expansion. We thank Elval for the friendly and successful cooperation during these difficult times and look forward new common projects.

New Service Business Unit creates major benefits for customers

Our newly set up "Service" Business Unit brings together service staff from all three product areas. This creates a greater pool of experienced service technicians, engineers and skilled maintenance staff, allowing the team to react to customers service requests even faster and more flexibly.

Axel Sturm, Head of our new Service Business Unit states: "The new structure also makes internal cooperation and communication with our design and procurement departments easier. The benefit for our customers: their machines and systems will be back on stream even faster after maintenance or repair service.”

Our new organizational structure puts stronger emphasis on service activities, providing our customers additional opportunities for productivity improvement. We have pooled all our service-related activities, which had so far been spread over three different divisions, within the new “Service” business unit.
