thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel visits GEORG
hyssenkrupp Electrical Steel and GEORG discuss optimization of machine and material interaction for electrical steel processing.
Beginning of August a delegation from thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel visited GEORG, the world market leader for transformer lamination cutting lines, in Kreuztal. The focus was how to perform the interaction between machine and material in order to achieve high-quality and economically optimal cutting results for customers. For the customers of both companies the combination of high-quality machines for gentle material processing and GOES top grades is important in order to meet the requirements of their markets.
thyssenkrupp provided information on the investments made in recent years and the successes achieved with regard to optimized properties of the current GOES materials. During the tour of the GEORG assembly halls, where various highly automated GEORG lines were being assembled, interesting discussions arose on core losses, material properties and no-load losses.
Digital education with GEORG
We want to anchor lifelong and digital learning just as much as traditional values. That is why we support our employees with various online training courses and offer instruction on our digital portal.
In particular, we support the development of our managers and employees with specialist software solutions, digital formats, and an extensive training catalog, right from the start of training.
Again GEORG has been ranked among the Top Employers
The media brand Freundin and the employer rating platform kununu again recognized the compatibility of family and career, a good work-life balance, feel-good factors and equal career opportunities among employers.
We are pleased to have achieved 2nd place among Germany's most family-friendly employers in the plant and mechanical engineering sector.
GEORG strengthens service
Our new organizational structure puts stronger emphasis on service activities, providing our customers additional opportunities for productivity improvement. We have pooled all our service-related activities, which had so far been spread over three different divisions, within the new “Service” business unit. With this step, we have augmented the role of services within our product portfolio. At GEORG, services are now on an equal level with the machines and systems the company designs and supplies to our customers the world over. A powerful service team and the use of latest digital tools will enable us to provide our customers with an enhanced and more efficient range of services.
Recruitment of new apprentices
Once again this year, we are pleased to welcome new, dedicated apprentices to our company.
Gianluca Scaiano, Tom Sinner, Alexander Wieczorek, Sean Luca Fries, Luca Buchen (from left to right), Laurin Schmidt and Max Karais are warmly welcomed to GEORG.
Our new apprentices complete their training at GEORG and in our subsidiary GEORG AUTOMATION in the professions of electronics for industrial engineering, industrial mechanics and machining mechanics.
We are very pleased that you are here and wish you a good start to your professional life.
Feel the Future
We stand not only for state-of-the-art technology, but also for a sustainable future. For our customers. For our products. And for our employees.
Partnership between LTC and GEORG extended
LTC recently achieved pre-acceptance for two new GEORG electrical steel production lines. The highly specialized lines are tailored for production in electrical steel service centers and are equipped with most of the features of a full-blown high-performance slitting line.
They feature a level of automation unparalleled in this sector, very high production speeds and a high production capacity.
Together with our internal and external experts, we support our global customers and employees in their challenges in this fast-moving and dynamic world in our in-house training academy. Our common goal is to be able to master the tasks of tomorrow through standardized and individual training, whether digital or face-to-face.
