hyssenkrupp Electrical Steel and GEORG discuss optimization of machine and material interaction for electrical steel processing.

Beginning of August a delegation from thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel visited GEORG, the world market leader for transformer lamination cutting lines, in Kreuztal. The focus was how to perform the interaction between machine and material in order to achieve high-quality and economically optimal cutting results for customers. For the customers of both companies the combination of high-quality machines for gentle material processing and GOES top grades is important in order to meet the requirements of their markets.

thyssenkrupp provided information on the investments made in recent years and the successes achieved with regard to optimized properties of the current GOES materials. During the tour of the GEORG assembly halls, where various highly automated GEORG lines were being assembled, interesting discussions arose on core losses, material properties and no-load losses.

LTC recently achieved pre-acceptance for two new GEORG electrical steel production lines. The highly specialized lines are tailored for production in electrical steel service centers and are equipped with most of the features of a full-blown high-performance slitting line.
