GEORG Ultragrind 10 mit ultrablock
Together with an ultragrind 25 combination roll grinder, Heinrich Georg GmbH is currently delivering an ultragrind 10 as a work roll grinding machine in ultrablock design. The entire unit is currently on its way to a customer in North America.
Step by step, GEORG has added its entire grinding machine series to its portfolio as an alternative to the classic machine bed design with a heavy foundation block, also as a foundation-free ultrablock design. Depending on customer requirements and the conditions at the machine location, the machine beds can be installed directly on the shop floor on vibration elements. In many cases, this eliminates the need for the very costly design of a foundation block embedded in the floor.
In addition to the GEORG smartcontrol CNC system and the proven GEORG roll measuring system, both machines are also equipped with crack detection systems from our long-standing partner LISMAR.
All in all, this makes GEORG ultragrind machines particularly suitable for high-precision grinding of especially demanding rolls where very tight tolerances need to be maintained.

To ensure the high quality of our machines, we manufacture in our in-house mechanical production facilities in Kreuztal, Germany, and Roanoke, USA.

Last week, igus visited our headquarters in Kreuztal as part of a trade press workshop attended by many journalists. The industry experts had the opportunity to gain an in-depth impression of our coil processing lines, roll grinding machines, and lean production. ATLAS TRAFO is scaling up and GEORG is part of it
To cut transformer cores in their new and impressive facility in Kemalpaşa near Izmir, Türkiye, ATLAS TRAFO has chosen our proven GEORG precisioncut TBA400 ecoline. Thanks to its compact design and intuitive operation, our new customer will be able to set up the machine independently after a two-week training session at our headquarter in Kreuztal.
