GEORG once again honoured for its efforts in climate protection
Already for the second time in series GEORG has been awarded for its exemplary efforts in climate protection by councelor Andreas Müller.
Hees Bürowelt and KYOCERA honoured GEORG for using toners from climate neutral production. The CO2 amount arising by production and usage of toners is neutralized by the climate protection projects of myclimate.org.
One of the numerous KYOCERA climate protection projects of myclimate supports the expansion of efficient and climate neutral cookers in rural areas of Siaya region in western Kenia. Even jobs are created by producing these cookers locally. Within the KYOCERA climate protection project already more than 59.000 efficient cookers have been installed.
This is not only a good contribution for the environment but also a sustainable support for the people in Siaya region: Thanks to the climate protection project the living conditions of more than 300.000 people could be improved.

GEORG opens a new location in Atlanta/Georgia
The Georg North America Inc. now has 2 locations within the USA, using these to focus on the US, Canadian and Mexican market.
The design and manufacturing site is staying in Roanoke/Virginia, the new sales and service site in Atlanta/Georgia. We look forward to being even closer to our customers. Our Sales colleagues are always at your disposal for project discussions.

New Service Business Unit creates major benefits for customers
Our newly set up "Service" Business Unit brings together service staff from all three product areas. This creates a greater pool of experienced service technicians, engineers and skilled maintenance staff, allowing the team to react to customers service requests even faster and more flexibly.
Axel Sturm, Head of our new Service Business Unit states: "The new structure also makes internal cooperation and communication with our design and procurement departments easier. The benefit for our customers: their machines and systems will be back on stream even faster after maintenance or repair service.”

GEORG strengthens service
Our new organizational structure puts stronger emphasis on service activities, providing our customers additional opportunities for productivity improvement. We have pooled all our service-related activities, which had so far been spread over three different divisions, within the new “Service” business unit. With this step, we have augmented the role of services within our product portfolio. At GEORG, services are now on an equal level with the machines and systems the company designs and supplies to our customers the world over. A powerful service team and the use of latest digital tools will enable us to provide our customers with an enhanced and more efficient range of services.
