Insights into our innovation department
Have you always wanted to get an insight into our product development? The German public broadcaster WDR recently filmed a report about our work in our innovation department. We are pleased to give you a small insight into the latest technology in mechanical and plant engineering.
We have now added English subtitles to the report and added it to our YouTube channel, so head there to view the video!
Feel the Future
We stand not only for state-of-the-art technology, but also for a sustainable future. For our customers. For our products. And for our employees.
Partnership between LTC and GEORG extended
LTC recently achieved pre-acceptance for two new GEORG electrical steel production lines. The highly specialized lines are tailored for production in electrical steel service centers and are equipped with most of the features of a full-blown high-performance slitting line.
They feature a level of automation unparalleled in this sector, very high production speeds and a high production capacity.
Together with our internal and external experts, we support our global customers and employees in their challenges in this fast-moving and dynamic world in our in-house training academy. Our common goal is to be able to master the tasks of tomorrow through standardized and individual training, whether digital or face-to-face.
Sven Helsper, former working student at GEORGinnovation, dealt with 3D printing as part of the additive manufacturing project. His task: Find components that are suitable for additive manufacturing, using a methodology based on filtering and specific criteria.
The opportunities of 3D printing lie in saving manufacturing costs, but also in increasing performance by unifying assemblies. The future application areas of 3D printing are manifold, for example, our customers can benefit from the new spare parts manufacturing technology in GEORG Service.
Mobile working at GEORG
Mobile working is one of our most important tools for infection control. A long time ago, we began to equalize workplaces wherever it is feasible and makes sense to do so. A large number of employees work from home on a mobile basis.
Our managers do everything they can to ensure that communication does not suffer and that individual challenges can be overcome. According to their assessment, the satisfaction rating of our employees is factor 8 on a scale from 0 = "catastrophe" to 10 = "things couldn't be better". The productivity assessment also achieves a high value.
