GEORG congratulates to the opening of MME’s new transformer core cutting center in Sharjah, UAE
With the joint venture “Mahindra Middle East Electrical Steel Service Centre ZFE” between the Indian company Mahindra Intertrade and Nippon Steel Corporation from Japan our customer has highly strengthened his market position as partner of the power transformer producers within the United Arab Emirates.
The new Mahindra Middle East (MME) cutting center for electrical steel in Sharjah relys on the quality of GEORG transformer lines. “MME’s transformer core facility is based on state-of-the-art technology with the equipment sourced from the world leader in lamination line technology, Heinrich Georg Maschinenfabrik, Germany, and will bridge a critical supply chain gap for transformer makers located in the Middle East”, said Mr. Harsh Kumar, Managing Director, Mahindra Intertrade Ltd. The new GEORG TBA/ME/EL 1000x5000 has taken-up production in February 2012.
At the occasion of the official opening ceremony of the new MME Electrical Steel Service Centre ZFE also GEORG CEO Mark Georg and Bernd Peter Schmidt, managing director transformer division had been invited. In his speech Mark Georg underlined the importance of the encouraging and trustworthy cooperation between Mahindra and GEORG. He further underlined the great importance of common reflection and thinking leading to solutions that will shape our tomorrow.
By entering the UAE market in 2005 and opening of the first service centre for transformer laminations Mahindra Middle East set the first milestone for its future success. Today the company is on its way to become one of the biggest suppliers in the region of cut transformer sheets and cores.
A bright future business development of MME can be predicted due to the partnership between the producer of silicon steel, Nippon Steel Corporation, and MME with its comprehensive cutting and slitting capacities. Therefore MME will become one of the leading lamination suppliers to the power transformer producing companies in the area.
We are looking forward to our future cooperation and common projects and wish MME great ongoing success.
