Excellent Performance in Steel Service Center
Intelligent process control and complex automation connections to the inhouse process chain lead to high productivity.
Only a few days ago the new GEORG Slitting and Cut-to-Length Lines for high-tensile strength materials took up production in the plant of our customer Schütz at Selters. With intelligent process control and complex automation connections to the inhouse process chain, the new GEORG line leads to high productivity of our customer.
The GEORG precisionslit Line slits incoming coils of up to 1,850 mm width of high surface quality at a speed of max. 400 m/min into 40 strands. The material tensile strength can amount up to 1,400 N/mm2. The high precision slitting shear with automatic tool change system and the patented CNC-separation unit reduce setting times to a minimum.
Worthwhile to mention is the custom-tailored automation solution which is widely integrated into the inhouse supply chain controlling job data processing and production planning down to intralogistics.
Also the GEORG precisioncut Line is designed for highest precision and performance. It includes a high-precision leveller with automatic cassette changes system as well as a continuously cutting eccentric shear. The magnetic belt stacker is able to switch on-the-fly between the two stacking positions even at highest line speed. The new line is able to process strips of a tensile strength of 800 N/mm2, thicknesses between 0.4 – 3.0 mm, strip widths between 400 x 1,650 mm and produces blanks between 500 – 6,000 mm in length.
