Service Technician / Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)

We at Georg North America Inc. are looking for mechatronics engineers or PLC programmers (m/f/d) for field installation and service assignments on our transformer and finishing lines in North America. Your place of work will be Atlanta, GA or Roanoke, VA.
Your tasks
You will support our team in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of our system software.
- Expansion and adaptation of the S7 control system, taking into account the mechanics, electrical drive technology, and pneumatic/hydraulic fluid technology used.
- Adapting the PLC safety program, taking into account the risk assessment
- Integrating and testing new software modules for existing and new mechanical applications
- Commissioning the systems and testing all functions
- Acceptance of the system and handover to the customer, including customer training
- Maintenance and service of existing systems
Your profile
You are a flexible specialist who works with a high degree of personal responsibility and precision to keep our complex systems running and you are well versed in automated plant engineering.
- State-certified mechatronics engineer with several years of professional experience in automated plant engineering or a university degree in electrical engineering (focus on automation technology)
- Knowledge of SIEMENS PLC systems and SIEMENS drive systems
- High level of commitment, flexibility, and mobility (70-90% travel)
