Aluminium producer KUMZ invests for future needs in GEORG-technology

Impressive cut-to-length and slitting lines for coils up to 2.800 mm width will take-up operation in Russia 2014.

Already  towards the end of 2011 the renown aluminium producer Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Works (KUMZ) entrusted us with the order for one slitting line and two cut-to-length lines. From beginning of 2014 our latest coil processing technology will be used by this Russian company. This technology including packing stations will strongly enhance the production facility for aluminium coils up to 2.800 mm width. Thanks to our highly efficient production lines KUMZ will be in a pole  position to  increase its export volume and to answer future demands of the international aerospace and automotive industry.

“At present these three lines are undergoing manufacture in our  company in Germany. For us it is a challenging task as these lines will be among the widest cutting lines ever built so far worldwide” explains Antonio Garcia, managing director of GEORG finishing lines division.

By executing this contract for KUMZ – one of the biggest downstream aluminium producing companies in Russia – GEORG finishing lines division expands its market segment for aluminium. At the same time new developments will lead us to further progress in this field as well.

GEORG’s latest technological achievements will be demonstrated during the following exhibitions:

ALUMINIUM , Düsseldorf  (Oct. 9-11, 2012)  hall 14, stand 14I40

EuroBLECH, Hanover (Oct.23-27, 2012) hall 16, stand C82)
