Successfull final acceptance for various slitting lines

GEORG was chosen by an Eastern Arkansas steel producer to design, manufacture and deliver a modern slitting line and slit strip packaging for non-grain-oriented electrical steel.

The successful final acceptance was recently granted, and the line was handed over to ongoing production.

One of the reasons why GEORG won the order is the high degree of automation of our lines. This allows shortest coil-to-coil times while at the same time requiring minimal personnel. And this is precisely what counteracts the current shortage of skilled workers.

Silicon steel is widely used in various electrical and electronic devices due to its unique properties. The growing demand for electrical steel and the high-quality demands require particularly flexible and specifically designed production and processing systems. On the state-of-the-art GEORG precisionslit 1650, silicon steel in the thickness range of 0.10 – 0.80 mm is slit and packed automatically. Main focus are tightest width tolerances and minimal cutting burrs.

We would like to thank our customer for their trust in our technology and the always good cooperation!
