These include, for example, the company MIKA Engineering GmbH, based in Belgrade, Serbia, which supports us in the transformer line division. Stefan Alfes and Mike Krämer recently discussed upcoming projects in Belgrade and explored new ways to further strengthen our partnership.

GEORG ultragrind SG 2 for Marcegaglia
Marcagaglia Ravenna S.p.a. has purchased for its cold rolling mill a roll grinder type GEORG ultragrind SG 2 in foundation free GEORG ultrablock version. Since 2017, when the first ultrablock machine was sold, a total of around 10 machines of this design have been sold.

GEORG delivers roll grinder to Volkswagens Gigafactory in Salzgitter
The first Volkswagen Group-owned battery cell factory is being built in Salzgitter. From 2025, standardized cells will roll off the production line there and the cell factory will produce an annual capacity of 40 GWh - enough for around 500,000 electric vehicles.

Italian company Marcagaglia is the world’s leading independent steel processor with a product range that covers everything from carbon to stainless steel, from long to flat products, from commodity to specialty. During a two-day meeting at our headquarters in Kreuztal, our guests from Marcegaglia's plant in Ravenna were able to find out about the latest trends and developments in the field of finishing lines and roll grinding technologies. Especially our roll grinder CNC control, the GEORG smartcontrol which sets new standards regarding machine operation was one the main points of interest.
