A Big Leap for the Jordan Transformer Industry
Recently, a new TBA400 ecoline for ELICO, a member of Matelec, a Lebanese company known for reliable and efficient electrical products and sustainable energy solutions, was successfully pre-accepted in GEORG’s workshops.
After his recent training on Matelec’s new cutting line (previously reported), Kreuztal is already a familiar destination for Anthony El-Khoury (pictured right), Maintenance Manager of Matelec. This time, he accompanied ELICO’s General Manager Saleem Abu Ghosh (center) and engineers Maen Jarajreh and Shadi Omari (from left).
In a newly constructed workshop near Amman, this line will soon help to boost ELICO’s production capacities.

GEORG ultragrind SG 2 for Marcegaglia
Marcagaglia Ravenna S.p.a. has purchased for its cold rolling mill a roll grinder type GEORG ultragrind SG 2 in foundation free GEORG ultrablock version. Since 2017, when the first ultrablock machine was sold, a total of around 10 machines of this design have been sold.

GEORG delivers roll grinder to Volkswagens Gigafactory in Salzgitter
The first Volkswagen Group-owned battery cell factory is being built in Salzgitter. From 2025, standardized cells will roll off the production line there and the cell factory will produce an annual capacity of 40 GWh - enough for around 500,000 electric vehicles.
