Development of the first straightening
machine for reinforcement bars and an eccentric shear
called „Liliput
shear“
1953
By combination of both aggregates
the first automatic straigthening and cut-to-length
line was completed
1955
Successful participation in the Hanover
Fair – contacts to customers from neighbouring
European countries are made.
1956
GEORG straightening and cut-to-length
lines are built
in batches.
1960
1960 Supply of the first GEORG cutting
and punching line for grain oriented electrical steel.
1970
Start of the electronic age at
GEORG, electronic control systems fulfill mechanical
functions.
1973
A separate department for electronic
controls completes the electrical division.
1974
Take over of a neighbouring machine
tool company and extension of the manufacturing programme
for special purpose machine tools.

Founding of Georg Products

assist our many transformer manufacturers in P R

Opening of Georg (UK)
Ltd. Bilston,

Opening of Georg Manufacturing Service (GMS),
Hickory, N.C./ USA
2001
Take over of a well established
engineering and machine building Company in St. Martin
de Crau and founding of Georg France.
2002
Outsourcing of our control division
for finishing lines and founding of Georg Automation
GmbH in Kreuztal, headed by Andreas Otto.
2003
The 3rd family generation joins
the Board.
Next to Gerd Georg and Jürgen Patt,
who have managed the GEORG group of companies for 4
decades, Mark Georg joins the management board..
