After successful commissioning SAUTER EDELSTAHL AG is now in a position to produce its specified blanks with highest accuracy and efficiency on its new cut-to-length line. Special feature: The applied GEORG technology enables the combined processing of stainless steel and aluminum on one line only. An intelligent solution to reply to steadily increasing market demands. By this forward thinking investment in our progressive technology the leading Swiss service center for aluminum and stainless steel, sheets, pipes, billets and fittings for the food industry is now in a more flexible position to meet its customer’s requirements by expanding its own manufacturing range of flat products.
“Various special line features of our “hybrid” cut-to-length line enable an efficient and combined processing of stainless steel and aluminum, e.g. a paper rewinder at the decoiler, a paper decoiler in front of the shear as well as a precision leveler in exchange cassette design” explains Antonio Garcia, managing director of GEORG finishing lines division. Three change- cassettes, carried on a fully automatic change-cassette car cope with the various material properties and the wide thickness range and ensure an optimum production process for specified blanks – without using a hall crane.
The cut-to-length line processes 25to coils at a speed of up to 60 m/min and produces sheets up to 2.000 mm width and 5,0 mm thickness. An additional loop-pit is not required which represents another economic advantage. The specified blanks are carefully stacked by a vacuum stacker disposing of 2 combinable stacking positions and operating in a very silent and careful mode. The following packing line straps the cut sheets automatically and still has potential for future production rises.
