60 Years GEORG –
from a one-man tool shop to a global supplier

This year HEINRICH GEORG GMBH MASCHINENFABRIK is going to celebrate its 60th company anniversary.

Today the family owned medium sized company, meanwhile run in the 3rd generation, can proudly look back to the origin of the company.

In 1948 Heinrich Georg took over the one-man tool shop for cutting, drawing and stamping tools from his father. Starting with a small team of workers he developed revolutionary machines for the metal working industry and lead the company to a globally active enterprise with a constantly increasing number of employees. At present 300 people are working at the Kreuztal headquarters.

Also today empowered with innovative spirit, highest quality and excellent after sales service GEORG can maintain its leading position in the international field of machinery and plant suppliers. With a network of daughter companies in Great Britain, France, USA and China and supported by a number of representative offices we are close to our customers around the globe.

Under the stewardship of Gerd Georg, Hans-Jürgen Patt and Mark Georg we focus today on the manufacture of finishing lines for the steel and non-ferrous metal industry, transformer core production lines and special purpose machine tools with electronic control systems. By separating our activities in 4 business areas, i.e. Band, Trafo, Machine Tools and Manufacturing all operating as individual profit centers we are well prepared to master the challenges of the world market.
